The essence of leadership This Conscious Leadership book introduces the notion of leadership as a process of 'Being' rather than 'Doing'. This "Beingness" establishes the quality, attitude and disposition which delineates extraordinary leaders. Being a leader is not the same as acting as one, and calling yourself a leader is not the same as being one. Everyone has the potential to be a leader, as it is all a matter of choice. Conscious leaders live and operate from BEINGNESS The book explores the fundamentals of consciousness: perceiving, knowing, being and receiving, in the context of leadership. Conscious leaders have the ability to perceive all that is happening around them, including thoughts, biases and feelings, without buying into that perception as reality Knowing is the intelligent flow of insight and knowledge that transpires instantaneously once the mind and emotions are balanced, calm and coherent. When you are "thinking" and "in your head", you are not functioning from your Knowing Conscious leaders are able to be all and everything simultaneously without judgment, competition, separation, discrimination and discernment. They live in the question, rather than being besieged by the problems. Conscious leaders are able to receive all with true gratitude without any sense of obligation, judgment or filtering. They do not resist or react to any interaction with anything or anyone. They recognize that whatever they can't receive becomes a limitation. |
